The renewal of the Bush tax cuts have been debated for quite some time.  We never stop and ask what does he think? Well for starters George W. wishes they weren’t in his name,

“If they’re called some other body’s tax cuts, they’re probably less likely to be raised.”

He added that he does not miss his old job as president. He seemed lighthearted at the Bush Institute Conference on Taxes and Economic Growth in New York City, adding that “It’s inconvenient to have to stop at some stop lights coming over here!”

Later he did get serious and said that he is firmly against those who might undermine the opinion of the president. “I don’t think it’s good, frankly, for our country to undermine our president, and I don’t intend to do so,” he said.

Would it make a difference if the Bush era tax cuts for the wealthy were named after somebody else?

Why would Bush (Republican) be firm in his stance that the opinions of President Obama should not be undermined?
